I've quietly been working on this project for several years, hoping I'd someday have enough to say to make it worth sharing. Three people are most responsible for my ability to finish, despite multiple setbacks that slowed me down.
First, I thank my parents, Terry Joe and Martha Kee. My dad has been a preacher my entire life, and my mom has always lovingly supported him. It wasn't always easy being a preacher's kid, but they always put God first and our family next. I always knew I was loved.
Second, I thank my husband, Clayton. For more than 30 years, he's been the voice that matters most to me. When he gives a compliment, it means something. Hearing him get home every evening is my very favorite part of the day.
In addition to those three people, I'd be remiss not to mention my two grandmothers, who were godly influences on all the teaching I've ever done. My Ma Bobbitt was an amazing children's Bible class teacher, and her handmade visual aids and handwritten song lyrics influenced countless young people through the years. My Ma Kee always had a Bible and a ladies' class book on her end table. Both of my grandmothers taught me to love God and love studying the Bible. I wish both of them were still here to see how those seeds germinated.
